I have created this card for the challenge going on at Scrapbook Boutique
This is one of the very few challenges that is open to all Australians...
What a challenge. First the colours, then the picture. Don't forget to add your handmade flower. I made about seven different types before settling on this one!

what and where have I been?
Well simply I have not gone or done anything in the last 8 months. I do apologize to those "few" that try to follow me. I am only on this blog thing for me so when I feel up to doing something with it I will come back......

I know what you're saying, "Karen is so awesome, she just gave away 2 cookbooks and now she's doing another giveaway." Well you're right, I am awesome but I'm not the one who's forking over the bucks for this giveaway. That would be Cache Valley Cheese who is graciously hosting this AWESOME giveaway! It was too awesome to give to just one person so I'm going to split up the booty and let 2 people win.
One lucky winner will receive the beautiful brand new dutch oven (you can use a lot of the slow cooking recipes with your dutch oven), Cache Valley oven mitts, and a coupon for FREE cheese!
The second lucky winner will receive the brand new Cache Valley® Signature Recipe Cookbook, a Cache Valley apron, and a coupon for FREE cheese!
Let me tell you a little about the cookbook. The Hometown Favorite Recipes cookbook is full of savory dishes created by people who not only share our love for cheese and butter, but also live right here in Utah and Idaho. And because every recipe placed in the top 20 of the second annual Signature Recipe Contest, they’re not only authentic, they’re also packed to the brim with award-winning flavor. I'm talking about Cordon Bleu Crepes for goodness sakes! Doesn't that sound soooo good?
To enter do ONE of the folloing things (if you want to enter more than once...you can do more):
1. "Like" 365 Days of Slow Cooking on Facebook, if you haven't already
2. Link 365 Days of Slow Cooking to your personal blog, if you haven't already
3. "Like" Cache Valley Cheese on Facebook, if you haven't already
Leave the appropriate number of comments (of which things you did on the above list) and on which item you would like to win (the dutch oven or the cookbook). I'll pick the 2 winners on February 11th!

Ok, So we did survive Cyclone Yasi. It veered off down the coast just hours before it hit the QLD coastline. Unfortunately for the smaller towns like Tully and Mission Beach, which incidentally folks is where most of your bananas are grown, was totally trashed. We need to think about these guys and when asked for donations (check these are legit) please be generous. The cane growers and banana growers in these areas, only just got back on their feet after cyclone Larry in 2006.
We will pray for a speedy recovery.
